Opening and artist’s talk Thursday, September 15 at 6 p.m.

You are invited to travel into the fascinating and mysterious world that links art and literature.

7 visual artists transform into images the words of writer Gisèle Villeneuve. The art exhibit, based on the book Et tu seras happé par l’horizon (loosely translated as And You Shall Be Snatched by the Horizon), presents seven distinctive artistic visions.

Gisèle Villeneuve kept a journal while following the artists, as they created their works.

At the opening reception, she will share her discovery of each artist’s approach in the context of her writing. A cocktail will be offered and Owl’s Nest Books will be on hand to sell the book.

The artists are:

Sabine Lecorre-Moore, curator, projects artist and mentor

Patricia Lortie, multidisciplinary artist and educator

Sylvie Pinard, geologist and painter

Nicole Geoffrion, painter

Paule Poulin, neuroscientist and painter

Andrée-Anne Paradis, graphic designer, educator and painter

Zoong Nguyen, graphic designer and painter

Gisèle Villeneuve, bi-langue writer and award-winning author
